My first time shooting photos with a phone camera in the pitch black! Surprisingly found the semi-auto mode in my huawei mate7 is not bad at all.
The first trial was to capture the sunset on Dong’ao island. The weather was marvelous with almost no cloud. Sun has already sank and very dim orange glow above horizon. I got the following photo holding my cellphone against a hand rail on the balcony.
Shooting stars is a bit more challenging. Need absolute stability, cos it’s a ONE minute expo time. I was taking the advantage of some slots in the park to hold the phone. It works OK, but will purchase a dedicated phone tripod for future shootings.
Update one photo with the labels of constellations.
